"A dim yet endearing stripper"

With reference to the title - that's quite the hook to draw you in, non?

OH MY DEAR LORD.

This DVD is coming my way soon... read it and weep.

Never Forget

Never Forget

There is Ash, who after years of wasting his talent in dingy clubs is chasing the prize money that might help save his mum’s struggling pub and pay for his wedding to Chloe (Nancy Sullivan – Footballer’s Wives); Jake ‘The Face’ Turner (Craig Els – Spamalot), a sharp witted, wannabe ladies man hoping the band will get him out of his dead end job; Adrian Banks (Tim Driesen - Mamma Mia), an introverted bank manager, hopelessly attempting to win over his adulterous wife; Dirty Harry (Eaton James – Miss Saigon), a dim yet endearing stripper looking to recover his self respect; and Jose Reize (Stephane Anelli – Saturday Night Fever), a wide-eyed and optimistic Spaniard, who has travelled to England to make something of himself. Having been brought together by Ron with promises of world domination the boys quickly form a genuine bond.

However, the arrival of ambitious record executive Annie Borrowman (Alexis Owen-Hobbs – Grease, Chicago) throws this bond into doubt and tests their loyalty and friendship.

Sorry about the big block of text, but there don't appear to be many full stops in this rather breathless synopsis. Reviewing this is either going to be amazing, or terrifying, or possibly both.

So, taking it from the top, who do we have here? Ash, who's been wasting his talent - Gary Barlow I presume? Seems most likely... probably be a slightly hotter version of Gaz back in the day ('hot' as in 'would slip seamlessly into an episode of Hollyoaks').

His wife-to-be is out of TV's divine Footie Wives - she's got to be great. Not Tanya Turner great, but you know, she'll do the job.

Anyone called Jake "The Face" anything is fine by me.

An introverted bank manager - maybe this is more the Gaz Barlow? I foresee dodgy suits, lots of supporting artists mouthing "mortgage" in the background and, er, that's it.

Dirty Harry gave this post its name and he is going to be AMAZING. Hands down. No discussion. I foresee that he will turn out to not be as dumb as all that. Or, if he is, heart of gold. Prerequisite and all that.

The DVD cover doesn't quite say high-rent, but I'm sure it belies the content. If only I was 13 again, this might have been a dream come true.

Still, good for a laff eh?

On a lighter note: Jude gets violent. Again.

Jude - looking moody for once.

Apparently he has being getting mad at the paps who hound his very existence. Poor J.

Jude Law Arrested for Alleged Attack

Wednesday September 5, 2007 3:31 PM

LONDON (AP) - Police arrested Jude Law for allegedly attacking a photographer outside his London home, British media reported Wednesday.

The 34-year-old actor allegedly tried to grab the photographer's camera during the incident on Tuesday, Britain's Press Association said. He was released on bail and must return to a London police station in October.

Law's publicist was not immediately available for comment.

Well well well. Is camera-grabbing is apparently an offence these days? He must have carried it out in a particularly hostile manner.

Jude, let the girls show you how to work it with the snap-happy stalkers:

Wel
l, we've all been there. I can barely pop out for a pint of milk these days, without getting snapped...

Did I type milk? Because I meant cider.
